Chin and Crown

This series is about character. Hats and facial hair are little theaters: tilt a brim, and a stranger becomes a detective; keep the stubble, and a smile turns stubborn. I photograph that alchemy in quiet light to honor the craft of self-presentation. I started this project out of curiosity: how does one detail, a hat’s edge, a line of whiskers, change how we read a face? The pictures are simple, the light is spare, and the aim is dignity. Each portrait is a small study in identity and style.
